Tim Daly - yummy
I don’t know how this guy has slipped by me in the past. He is an Emmy Award Winner. He is best known for his television role as Joe Hackett on the NBC sitcom Wings. He is currently staring on the Grey’s Anatomy Spin-off, Private Practice as Peter Wilder.
He debuted on stage in Jenny Kissed Me when he was seven years old with his two sisters and his parents. The show also had Sharon Laughlin and John D. Irving. He appeared in American Playhouse’s An Emmy of the People which starred his father James Daly. He wanted to have a sports career (here’s another one I’m glad changed professions) or a music career and even considered being a lawyer or a doctor.
His adult professional career kicked off with Peter Schaffer’s play Equus in 1978. His first leading role was in Diner which also included actors such Kevin Bacon and Mickey Rourke. Later he was in Made In Heaven, The Rise & Rise of Daniel Rocket and the CBS series, Almost Grown.
He has been on Broadway’s production of Coastal Disturbances opposite Annette Bening, Oliver, Oliver at the Manhattan Theatre, Mass Appeal and Bus Stop. He is also famous for his role as Superman in Superman The Animated Series. Daly didn’t return as Superman in Justice League and is about to remake the 1960’s TV Drama The Fugitive.
