Steven Gerrard
Ok, so see, I’m on this soccer role and I can’t stop myself. All of these guys came as suggestions through comments so if you have a guy you’d like to see me feature, by all means, leave me a comment.
Steven Gerrard is an English footballer and I’m going to quit calling them that, they are soccer players, sorry. He is usually used in the box to box midfield role and well, I have no clue what that means. He has often been deployed as a right-sided midfielder and occasionally as a second striker.
See, now, remember I don’t know too much about soccer so that is meaningless to me unlike what it would be if we were talking about American football. Anyway, Gerrard made his international debut in 2000 when he represented England in the UEFA Euroopean Championships in 2000 and 204 as well as the 2006 FIFA World Cup.
His individual honors include PFA Young Player of the Year in 2000-2001 all the way through the UEFA Team of the Year in 2004 and 2005, 2005 and 2006 and 2006 and 2007 along with PFA Team of the year in 2000-2001, 2003-2004, 2004-2005, 2005-2006, and 2007-2008. Sounds like he might be a darn good player and well, have you seen him? Cochlea.
Some other miscellaneous news about Gerrard is that he is a member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in 2007 and Honorary Fellowship from Liverpool John Moores University in 2008.
So, without any further bragging, let’s look at this dude!
