Scott Speedman….I never knew…
I didn’t know there were so many good looking guys out there. I’ve found some wonderful looking fella’s lately. Here is a UK born Canadian actor. He played Ben Covington in the coming of age television drama Felicity and werewolf Michael Corvin in the Underworld.
He showed interest in auditioning for the role of Robin in Batman Forever which was actually cast out of Toronto. He wasn’t given that role but he did get some exposure and quickly landed an agent and was auditioning for Canadian television and film roles.
His debut came in 1995 on the Canadian series Net Worth. He then appeared in several small television roles and then decided to go to New York to study for a short time at the Neighborhood Playhouse before dropping out and return home to Toronto.
His big break came when he got a casting call from an agent in the U.S. that wanted him to audition for Felicity. He portrayed a brooding college student Ben Covington opposite overnight star Keri Russell. He then landed a role opposite Gwyneth Paltrow in the film Duets. After his four-year run on Felicity, he found success on the big screen. His first role in the film industry was opposite Kurt Russell in the co-drama Dark Blue.
And, then, his first major starring role came opposite Kate Beckinsale in Underworld. He was honored with a Saturn Award and went on to star alongside James Marsden in the 24th Day opposite Ice Cube in XXX: State of the Union.
