John Krasinski
An American actor, born in 1979..whew, these young boys sure look better than I remember them looking when I was 20. His big break was Jim Halpert on NBC’s The Office. He attended high school with B.J. Novak who later became his co-star (Ryan Howard) on The Office and a writer and co-producer on the s how.
Before he went to college, he taught English in Costa Rica. He then went to Brown University where he graduated in 2001 as a playwright. He also helped coach youth basketball and then later he attended the National Theater Institute in Waterford, Connecticut.
Believe it or not, his first stage appearance was in a play that was written and cast by B.J. Novak. I mean, come on, is that just a good part of the world or what?
He spent the summer of 2000 as a script intern on Late Night with Conan O’ Brien and also made appearances on Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Without a Trace, Ed, American Dad (where he was the voice of a squirrel) and one episode of CSI.
He also starred as Gideon in A New Wave before The Office. And in 2006 he was Brevin in Smiley Face. His other supporting roles have included License to Wed, Leatherheads, and Jarhead.
He has been featured in People’s magazines Sexiest Man Alive in 2006. He narrated a series of commercials for Ask.com and did a commercial for the Apple TV in 2007. He can also been seen in commercials for Verizon and the Blackberry Storm. And, if that’s not enough, you can find him in commercials for Best Buy and the Gap.
