David Salmoni - a Reader’s Choice
I wasn’t familiar with David Salmoni but a reader sent information about him to me and I had to check him out. He is a Canadian animal trainer, zoolist, a television presenter and television producer. Well, ok then, one would think I should have at least heard of such a popular guy. In addition to that, he owns his own production company, Triosphere, which is based in South Africa and specializes in natural history and filmmaking. And, he is part of the blog, A Season with Lions Blog, which you know, a blog man is gonna win my heart every time.
He graduated with a degree in biology (hummm, I could have guessed that one) and worked as an apprentice animal trainer at Bowman Zoological Park. He spends about 3 months a year in South Africa. He has hosted and/or produced several TV documentaries, including Living with Tigers in 2003. That show is about he and John Varty and a project with the Bengal Tiger rewilding Project. Sharks: Are they Hunting Us is on of his Discovery Channel shows and he hosts Animal Planet and Rogue Nature, Predator vs. Prey, Into the Lion’s Den and After the Attack.
He has appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. He was also on The Hour. As for the women in his life? He previously dated Fox’s Morning Show Anchor Juliet Huddy.
