Chris Simms, Phil Simms…showing my age

Yes, I remember Phil Simms.  He looked good, see?

 

And, along came Chris Simms.  He just happens to be the son of that beautiful Phil Simms.  The result, equally gorgeousness.  Is that a word? 

Anyway, he is now an NFL quarterback for Tampa Bay.  He was drafted in 2003.  He got his first action in September of 2004.  He got his first NFL start 2 games later.  In December of 2006, he signed a 2 year extension with the Bucs and expected to start.  However, with the way that sport goes, he managed to be listed as fourth and has now been placed on the Injured Reserve for the reaminder of the season.

    Phil played for the Eagles when I attended Morehead State University. From the way he presents himself as a sports anchor today, you’d never know how shy he was in college. His son has good looks and talent too. Where’s Chris’ mom these days? She played such an important part in Chris’ life.
