Survivor

Ok, moving along….Joe Dowdle

Monday, January 26th, 2009

Joe is a real estate salesman in Austin Texas and to be perfectly honest with you, my sources tell me that the housing market in Texas is awesome right now if you can sell houses that folks can’t pay for any longer.  So, Joe is on Survivor and if he doesn’t win, chances are, he is back in Texas now selling houses at an astonishing rate.

He says his strategy on the show is to “persuade and evade”.  He said that before he left, he told his mom, “I’ll see you there.”.  Hummmmm, sounds pretty confident doesn’t he?

He is a 26 year old southern gentleman and apparently is business savvy as well.  He was raised in a single home with his sister and his mother.  He says he is definitely a man who takes pride in hard work and being a Texan!

He is a true Texas cowboy too.  He was selected to join the Texas Cowboys which is a service organization where members act as ambassadors for “the greatest university in the world” or the University of Texas.

So, I give you, Joe Dowdle, what do you think?

Survivor: Tocantins - The Brazilian Highlands

Brendan Synott

Saturday, January 24th, 2009

Ok, so you know that name has to cause him a little attention every now and again, right?  I mean, I thought my maiden name was insane, but…Synnott sure looks like it would sound alot like snot….am I alone here?

But, the name Brendan…ahhh I’ve never known a Brendan so the name causes visions of pleasantness in my head.  I taught school and many many names are crossed off of my list for potential “good lookers” or “children’s names” simply due to the way a child with the same name behaved when I taught him.

But, Brendan, nope, nothing but sugarlumptious.  Agree?  So, we get Brendan Synnott on Survivor this year!  Woohooo

Survivor: Tocantins - The Brazilian Highlands

Well, Mr. Brendan is already the owner of a $122 million bucks that he made when he sold is Bear Naked Granola Business to Kellogg’s.  Oh yes, I am so not kidding.  He was raised by a single mother and says he pulled himself up by his bootstraps to be the co-founder and CEO of Bear Naked which is a natural food brand that was sold to Kellogg’s.

So, what do you think?

While I’m on Alabama Survivor Men…Ibrehem Rahman

Friday, January 23rd, 2009

Yes, I know, I’m stuck in a rut.  But, once I got started reading about my new set of castaways, and I realized there was not one, but 2 from Alabama, I started thinking about previous shows that had Alabama boys (or men) as contestants.  Ibrehem is 26 and hails from Birmingham.  He was quoted in Cosmopolitan Magazine as a hot guy without a shirt for saying that he was thinking of opening a health-food  supermarket because he is into fitness.

He didn’t do real well on Survivor but he was honestly, just too nice for his own good.  He was born on March 4, 1977 which means he isn’t far away from a big birthday, the big 3-1!  He attended Tuskegee Institute where he pursued a degree in Mechanical Engineering and then the University of Alabama where he pursued a degree in business.

He has worked as a model as well and here…here is why…

Survivor Palu and Guatemala – Bobby Jon Drinkard

Wednesday, January 21st, 2009

Writing about JT in the last post reminded me of a hottie from previous Survivor shows.  Yea, Bobby Jon Drinkard.  He is an Alabama born fella himself and he was in both Palu and Guatemala.  His stay on Palu came down to the fact that he and a girl named Stephenie were the only 2 left on their tribe and were fending for themselves.  And, when they had to start fire, she won and he was sent home.

He and Stephenie both show up in the very next season as unexpected contestants.  He is a graduate of Troy University but mostly he models.  His degree is in journalism but I’m here to tell you, I really think it would be much easier to stand in front of a camera than to write good copy.  Ha Ha no pun intended.

He is currently the host and producer of a statewide television show in Alabama called “On the Job”.  Now, that’s kind of odd since it shows his hometown to be LA now?  I dunno, go figure.

Either way, he was easy on the eyes and I actually thought he was a bit cocky in the second show considering all that he knew including the fact that he could be sent packing at the drop of the hat.  But, he faired much better and made a much better impression than other Alabama guys that were on the show with him in Palu.

What do you think about how he looks to the eyes?

James Thomas Jr…the start to Survivor

Monday, January 19th, 2009

Ok, so the new season, SurvivorTocantins kicks off on February 12.  The teams are made and the cast announced.  Included in that cast is 2 Alabama folks.  He is 24 and is a cattle rancher from Samson, Alabama.  And, as a true born and bred Alabama girl, I have to tell you, I have no clue where that is.  But, he is quoted as saying, “Deer, turkey, wild hog, coyote-everything you’re allowed to hunt in Alabama, I’ve hunted.  I”m a country boy.”

Ya think?

Actually, he is the first person in his family to earn a college degree and he has a B.S. in Business Administration where he uses it to run a registered Angus Cattle Ranch.  He works preparing the land and working the cattle (or so he says) but he is also the person who does the paperwork and marketing.

He also says, “I’m not a dumb hillbilly, so don’t think it!”.  So, you know, if that’s his strategy, he may well be able to play dumb and innocent county boy role for a little while.  He is single though and the current information says he lives in Mobile.  So, I’m going to assume that Samson is somewhere in south Alabama eh?

What do you think about him?

TV Hotties Showing Up on Survivor

Sunday, January 18th, 2009

colby donaldson red eye ethan-zohn

Man of you don’t know this, but I am a big time Survivor fan.  Ok, if you don’t know, you’ve been hiding under a rock.  I didn’t watch the first season when Richard Hatch won and I’m fairly certain that I didn’t miss one thing.  I did pick up and feel in love with Ethan Zohn and Colby Donaldson quite easily.  From there, it’s been a season of love/hate relationships for me with Survivor.  There’s always scandidly clad women with big boobs hanging out everywhere and then the men, the men sometimes are scruffy and disgusting looking.  But, Zohn and Donaldson were definitely not scruffy.

If you watched, you know that James Clements was another hottie and I wrote about him here too.  He managed to make it on the show and then again made it to the Fans Versus Favorites Show.  Zohn and Donaldson competed in both their first season as well as the All-Star Season.  Then, there are the folks like Earl Cole and Ozzy Luseth who caught my eye as well.  So, there’s my past hotties, let’s get some hotties for the upcoming season…are you ready?

Can I go to James again, please?

Friday, March 21st, 2008

Listen, I know I’ve featured this hottie before…and I may have even given him a go twice, but even still, he is so awesome.  He has manners, he looks deep into the women’s eyes, he calls them “babe” no matter who they are, he is simply hot and a gentleman.

He is obviously a simple man.  He owns a burial service in Louisiana and he is a grave digger.  I mean, please, the man has been pushing down trees with his bare hands and carry women across the ocean on a tiny pole.

He also works security at nightclubs (hummmm, I wonder where exactly) and weddings as well as bartending on the side.  During his free time (he has free time, what with the 2 Survivors, grave digging, body guarding, bartending) he likes to surf the net.  Too bad I haven’t found him online eh?  He is very athletic, as if you can’t tell from looking at him, and he enjoys sprinting, weight lifting and playing football.

He believes that he is athletically gifted, socially adapted and physically attractive.  And, I believe he couldn’t be more right.  He was imposing on the 15th season of Survivor but will go down in history for owning 2 immunity idols and not playing either of them.

Just take a gander at these photos and tell me he doesn’t deserve another round of TV Boyfriend Stardom?

Do you see why People Magazine named him Sexy Man of the Week back on November 12, 2007?  And, get this, he is single and says that in his circle of friends…he is definitely not the biggest guy around.  He says he hangs out with football players so that takes care of that.  The first thing he notices about women is their stomach.  Wait til he has who has give birth to a few kids and see if that doesn’t change.  He had a girlfriend that was 5′2′ and 100 pounds and get this, she helped him dig graves.  Hummm, wonder what happened to her?

Survivor China - Erik

Saturday, October 13th, 2007

When I first saw Erik, I thought, Ethan.  Oh how I loved Ethan.  I kid you not, I had the hots for him big time.  So, when it comes to Erik Huffman….I get goo-goo eyed again.  He grew up in Greenville, South Carolina, where he played and excelled in football and baseball.  That’s not all, he achieved academic excellence.  He graduated from Furman University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration in 2003.  He has even studied in Australia.  Huffman enjoyed working in the media and entertainment.  He started modeling when he was 18 and started working commercials.  He was then discovered by Ford Models.  He has now offically worked for Hanes, Glamour, Abercrombie & Fitch, Finish Line, Macey’s, Target and many others.

He learned guitar at 13 and music has always been a passion.  It was only a hobby for years.  He is currently a full-time musician, playing bass guitar and singing with his rock band, FLOREZ.

Are you sold on him yet?  Just take a look…

More Survivor Smack talk…

Friday, September 28th, 2007

Technorati tags: ,

You know, contestants come and contestants go.  And, in the whole scheme of things, this Survivor really doesn’t have that many hot men….or women for that matter.  Last weeks episode was one of the best in several seasons if you ask me. …and of course, you did ask me.

Really though, everyone seemed awkward and uneasy.  There have been season openers where alliances were formed early and not very much really happened.  But, last week..that changed.  I was really cheering for Chicken just because he had a real cool personality to go with his name.  He wasn’t however, that great to look at.

But, Erik…yes, Erik Huffman looks pretty good.  He was born in Greenville, South Carolina and he stayed there all through college.  He played sports, excelled acadmically and eventually graduated from Furman University with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Admininstration in 2003.

He learned guitar from his father starting around age 13.  He later learned to play bass guitar and felt a pure passion for music.  He is currently a full-time musician, playing bass guitar and singing with his rock band, FLOREZ.  He enjoys running, football, lifting weights, frisbee (uh?), golf, Sudoku, movies, snowboarding and skateboarding.  He says he is an honest, genuine, sensitive, competitive problem solver who sometimes turns into a perfectionist.

So, what do you think?

What about James?

Friday, September 7th, 2007

You know, the last time I remember a James on the show, he was a hillbilly from Alabama.  Please, I try to forget so hard….but…this james looks much better.

He is 30 and from Lafayette, LA.  He is a gravedigger though and well, that might mean he doesn’t get affected by too much gross stuff…but then again, that might mean he hangs around a long time for me to look at.

He describes himself as athletically gifted, socially adaptive and physiaclly attractive.  I’ll take “physically attractive for 1000, Alex”.  I mean, really, he does look good.  He says he is physically and mentally adept, adventurous and able to adapt to new environments and situations.  so, yea, I say, “go James!”

What do you think?

Out on a limb…

Thursday, September 6th, 2007

The new Survivor Season, that would be Survivor China, doesn’t kick off until September 20.  I so wish they would start out with a 2 hour special so I could learn the characters better the first night.  But, alas, they make me wait.  Anyway, I’ve been studying my characters already so I will know who to root for.

For now, I’m picking Dave.  He is 37 and a former model.  He lives in Simi Valley California where he is now a bartender.  He describes himself as creative, funny and hard-working.  He thinks he will do well because he loves to camp and considers himself to be a motivator and team player.

Yea, sounds good eh?  What do you think?

His birthday is October 26, 1969…..just shy of me…..and looking good!

Earl before the show…he had 2 days notice and this was a picture made at his pre-interview

During the show….close to the end when the ruggedness had fully soaked in him

Last night at the finale show where he learned he had won the million by the first ever unanimous vote and having never won an immunity challenge

Earl Cole wins a million dollars and becomes the winner of Survivor and my TV Boyfriend

Monday, May 14th, 2007

I watched all 3 hours of Survivor on Sunday night…and…like a goofball…I live blogged it all too.  I mean detail by minute detail.  In the end, advertising executive Earl Cole won the million dollars.  He was the first Survivor ever to get to the winning prize without ever winning an immunity challenge and the first to win by getting all 9 votes….all nine votes ya’ll…it was unanimous.  It didn’t hurt that his 2 competitors were goofballs and he turned on the only other person that could have beat him and voted him out….so he deserved it.

And, so of course that means that Earl would make a great boyfriend, one with a million dollars…but nevermind that greediness, he seemed to have such character, perserverance, loyalty (to a point) and really seemed like an over-all good guy…I really liked him…really…here’s a few pics…

I know he looks rugged here, but the other pics are small so I added it anyway.  Maybe I’ll find some good ones later in the week.  And, with that, i give you…Earl Cole..
