TV Boyfriends

I’m not so sure of this guy.  I think it is mainly because I am not a fond of blondes, and he even has a little Richie Cunningham look to him, but apparently he has been deemed McHunky  and probably for a reason.  I first spotted him in the TV Guide (yes weeks ago, I’m about 3 behind, sorry).  I found Kevin, a Scottish actor in the TV Guide as the folks over there talk about him in terms of McHunky. 

So, we do know that his best known roles have been as a soldier/politician Lucius Vorenus on the HBO/BBC series Rome and as Pvt. Cooper in Dog Soldiers.  He is also been a major part in NBC’s Journeyman as a time traveler, Dan Vasser.

As for his television work, we are thinking back to Father Ted in 1996, The Magical Legend of the Leprechauns in 1999, North Square in 2000 and now, now he joins Grey’s Anatomy as Owen Hunt.  And, there you have….the path to McHunky!

Is he your type?

I didn’t know who he was until I went searching.  And, find him indeed, I found him.  You’ve probably seen him in Private Practice.  He plays Dell Parker.  His interest in theatre and filmmaking was nurtured at the Atlanta International School.  Then, while playing beach volleyball in Southern California, he was a student at USC at the time, he was “discovered”. 

His first major audition landed him a role in the ABC drama “Life As We Know It”.  Then, it was “You Are Here” and “Graduation”  all stuff I’ve never heard of before.  But, then, then in 2007 he landed a big role as he co-starred in Private Practice which is the spin-off of “Grey’s Anatomy“.

Most of you probably didn’t even notice that I am late today.  I’m having difficulties concentrating with the looming of my daycare inspection.  But, when I took one look at McDreamy’s photo this morning…I was quick to the computer to get you a few pic’s of him….so here goes..

I’ve already mentioned that I don’t watch Grey’s Anatomy but that doesn’t make him any less attractive now does it?

Grey’s Anatomy Insider reports that the cast of the Grey’s Anatomy

spin-off starring Kate Walsh and Taye Diggs is really clicking, Diggs tells People.

“They’re great. We have really great chemistry,” said Diggs of his fellow cast members Thursday at the opening of the new club Runway, in New York City.

The initial two-hour episode of Greys Anatomy, which is expected to start the spin-off series and is titled “The Other Side of This Life” (Parts I & II), has just finished filming, according to Diggs.

“We’re hoping people dig it,” Diggs said.

Which guy floats your boat?

I don’t watch Grey’s Anatomy.  I am more interested in crime shows these days than hospital shows and I’ve never seen even one episode.  But, while perusing through People online, Entertainment Weekly, TV Guide and TV.com, I saw his picture, investigated further and sure enough, he qualifies as a TV Boyfriend.

Here’s the scoop on him provided by CBS:

Justin Chambers was born and raised in Springfield, Ohio.  Discovered on a subway in Paris, he began his career as a profesional model working through Europe, Japan and the U.S. with contracts at Calvin Klein and Armani, among others.

Setting his sights on acting, Chambers moved to New York and studied for four years at H.B. STudios and Ron Stetson Studios.  His training garnered him several television roles, including Another World, New York Undercover, Rose Hill with Jennifer Garner and Four Carners with Ann-Margret.

And, for those of you who know his character, CBS says:

Dr. Alex Karev is a surgery doctor and his evaluator’s name is Dr. Miranda Bailey.  She says he is arrogant, too sure of himself, loves to take credit, confident, not hesitant, competitive, eager to be involved, smart ass.  She also says his strength is his confidence, his steady hand, and that he is not afraid to look for and offer unusal solutions to difficult problems.  His attitude, punctuality and dealing with his patients are definitely the areas that need improvement.  His mouth also seems to get him in quite a bit of trouble.
