TV Boyfriends

Well, unless you live under a rock, he most definitely can.  I mean, realistically, where do 99% of us see the President?  On the television, in the news and as of late in commercials.  So, definitely he makes the grade for a TV Boyfriend.

And, regardless of how you voted, it’s time to put your personal thoughts away and support the man elected President of the United States.  And, again, unless you live under a rock, you know that he is quite easy on the eyes. 

I’m not going to give you all the political hoopla surrounding Obama, you’ve heard it all since the campaigning began.  So, I’m going to stick with the little excerpt I caught on tonight’s Entertainment Weekly or some show similar to that.  His family is just as normal as any other in many ways.  His daughter complained because he would leave his bag from his recent trips in the doorway and she would trip over it while the other nags him because he likes regular gum, not bubble gum.

Sounds innocent enough to me.  How about photos of our  new Number One Family?

And, honestly, nothing is more sexy than a family man.

Old habits are hard to break, ya know?  After taking a look at Rob Lowe, I ran into a photo of Blair Underwood.  Again, I’ll have to look deep to find his latest endeavors but I remember dreaming of him on L.A. Law.  I had no clue he was also on The Cosby Show (and how can you not love anyone that’s ever been on The Cosby Show?), One Life to Live, Heat Wave, High Incident, City of Angels, Sex and the City, LAX, Law & Order:  SVU.

See, he certainly hasn’t just been hanging out doing nothing.  The man’s gotta work, right?  And, for some of his latest films, Straight out of Compton 2, The Golden Blaze, Something New, The Legend of Spyro:  Dawn of the Dragon.

Oh yea, the good ones will simply never go away, you just gotta keep your eyes out for them.  I really do remember dreaming about him when I was in my early 20’s.  Shhhh, don’t tell anyone!

Too Hot for me to say any more….

He started as a mullet wearing soap star and then he became Uncle Jessie on Full House and then, before you know it, he shows up on ER stimulating the interest in that show..  What else do we know about him?  He was born in California and attended Lexington Junior High and John F Kennedy High.  Early in his career, like I mentioned earlier, he was the hunk Blackie Parrish and even received a Daytime Emmy Award nomination in 1983. 

The one big thing about him that I did not know…..he was offered a part for the hit television series the Wiggles, but he basically said he was “too wiggled out”.

In other places, other news, The Comedy Central Roast of Bob Saget, A Raisin in the Sun, ER, Jake in Progress, The Andy Milonakis Show, Wedding Wars, The Reagans, Friends, Thieves, The Beach Boys:  An American Family.  And, the list of awards is endless.  Outstanding Actor in a Supporting Role in a Daytime Series on General hospital nomination.  A win for Most Exciting New Actor in the Soapy Awards in 1983 and in 1984 he won the Best Young Actor in a Daytime Series for General Hospital.

Jason Thompson is a Canadian actor who joined the cast of the American daytime drama General Hospital in December of 2005 as an arrogant yet brilliant neurosurgeon Dr. Patrick Drake.  He then became an original cast member of the General Hospital prime-time spin-off General Hospital:  Night Shift while also maintaining his job on GH.

He started with commercials for Gap under the directions of Pedro Romhanyi in 2002, “Everybody in Cords”, “Everybody in Leather” and “Everybody in Vests”.  He says that modeling paid the bills and allowed him the opportunity to travel extensively, but that becoming an actor was never far from his thoughts.

His most popular role as Dr. Patrick Drake on the ABC soap is definitely his claim to fame.  He was considered a playboy on the show and flirted with various women in the hospital and that’s where he began his career as Dr. Hottie.  Dr. Hottie as in a reference to Dr. McDreamy and our newly deamed McHunky.

So, what do you think?

The first place you probably saw this cutie, Justin Bruening, was as a fashion model.  He was cited as one of televisions most beautiful people and then…then the acting.  He was Jamie Martin on the soap opera All My Children earning him a Soap Opera Digest Award in 2005 for that gig.  Then, he was cast as Mike Tracuer, the son of the character Michael Knight in the original series of Knight Rider.

Ok, let’s just get this straight.  I didn’t watch that show way baack then and I have no clue how they tie this together, but my husband does I bet you because he has been DVR’ing these shows.  I’m almost out of my mind with DVR-dom around here.

The sweet face was born in 1979 when I was in the sixth grade.  I don’t know why I keep telling you guys how old I am.  anyway, he moved to Sand Diego and was discovered by Sue Nessel, a talent scout for Scott Copeland International.  In a McDonald’s of all places.  And there was born a mode for Abercrombie & Fitch.

The next thing you know, he is in a commercial and then casting for All My Children started.  He auditioned for the role of J.R. Chandler but was cast as James “Jamie” Martin in 2003.  And, then for a brief time, he played Jamie Martin on One Life to Live in 2004 and 2005 in a crossover storyline. 

He has featured as Daytime’s Hottest Star in Teen People, Us Weekly, Star and J-14 magazines.  He tried out for the part of Superman in Superman Returns and has appeared in a music video by Britney Spears, “Boys”. 

Do you even need to hear more?

While reading last week’s TV Guide (I’m a week behind you know, I did spend a week on the beach), I came across several actors for this coming up Fall’s shows.  Many of them I had no clue who they were until I read about them in detail.  But, when I saw the name, Christian Slater, I immediately went back to the dreamy days of he early 90’s.  Lo and behold, that’s exactly what the TV Guide says about him.  They wonder how it is that he came back to TV and looks a lot like he did back in the good ol’ days that was the early 90’s. 

So, what’s he been doing lately?  Well, he will be in a show where he plays a suburban dad with an alternate personality who’s a spy.  What’s the name of the show?  My Own Worst Enemy and you can catch it on NBC.

Just in case you aren’t already a fan of Slater’s, you can get tons of information on him by simply googling his name, as with most celebs.  But Slater has a resume’ that is quite lengthy.  As I perused through it, I tried to rake through and find the shows that were obvious to most everyone.  Shows like One Life to Live, Dick Van Dyke, The Music Man, Broken Arrow, One Flew over the Cuckoo’s Nest and Monday Night Football (oh really?)

Hey, if you don’t recognize him from at least one of those places, you’ve definitely had your head in a hole somewhere.  So, how about some photos of the hot hot hot Slater.

First the teaser…

That’s probably not the best photo I found of Will but…it is a start and you definitely need to hang around and check out what’s coming up.  He was born in October of 1978 in Los Angeles and is best known for his role as JJ Pryor on American Dreams.  I have to admit that I don’t watch that show…but I just might now. 

He has an upcoming project in a short movie Luz Del Mundo.  He will be playing Jack Kerouac, a good friend of Neal Cassady.  The movie is in post production and will be seen in future film festivals. 

So, where else can he be found?  He was in Law and Order:  Special Victims Unit, The Drive, The Drive from Clausen’s Pier, Reunion, Pet Star, Charity, Celebrity Jeopardy, The Fugitive, 7th Heaven, Full House, Baywatch, Murphy’s Law, Highway to Heaven and Santa Barbara.

Oh, yea, you can find him if you just look for him.

How did this guy ever slip by me?  I know, because on Passions as Ethan Winthrop, he is totally not as hot as he is on MostBeautifulman.com.  He graduated from Central Dauphin High School in Harrisburg, PA in 1989.  He joined the theatre class in high school and was even able to land a role as “Pharoah” in the Osmond National Touring Company of Joseph & The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Danny Zuko in Grease and Professor Higgins in My Fair Lady. 

He auditioned to play in the movie The Cheater as Brad and in 2003 he starred in Spanish Fly as Brick Hauser.  His big break came though when he landed that role as Ethan Winthrop on the Soaps Passions.  Oh, well, he sure looks better outside Ethan if you ask me.

Now, see, is that not far more hunky than….

Not that this is bad, just not near as hunky.

This guy is no slouch ya’ll.  He is a product of Colorado State’s University and Denver’s Theater Conservatory.  He then moved to Los Angeles after graduating with his Masters of Fine Arts.  He had a guest role in several prime-time shows but then he finally received a winning role on Sunset Beach.  And, before Sunset Beach, he was tested for the role of Nikolas Cassadine on General Hospital. 

He has even been in commercials.  He was in the “Female of the Species” Impulse Deoderant TV Ad.  Right now though, he is Gabe Capshaw in the show Saints and Sinners.  He has been Nicholas Foxworth “Fox” Crane on Passions too.  I mean, is there anything better?

Who was born the third child of seven, shy as a child and as a teenager, excelled at sports and went to an all-boys Catholic high school?  Who spent three semesters in college before taking a break and becoming a court baliff?

Daniel Cosgrove, that’s who.

Cosgrove dabbled in modeling but didn’t hang around in that for long.  He moved to New York and before he could get settled in good, he had landed a role on All My Children.  He spent 2 years there and then moved on to Beverly Hills 90210.  He was there 2 years and then he was seen in all kinds of places like They Crawl, Van Wilder and Satan’s School for Girls.

Ok, so you probably know him from All My Children.  He was nominated for a Daytime Emmy for his role of Aidan Devane which originated in 2002.  Very shortly after joining the show he was nominated in 2003 for “Outstanding Younger Actor in a Daytime Drama Series” at the 30th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards. 

He is one of the lucky few who audition for roles on soaps.  He wasn’t chosen for the role he auditioned for but definitely made an impression on the producers.  They actually created his character “Aida” especially for him.

So, what else does he do?  He has a number of television credits such as Crossroads, The Bill, Eastenders, and Heartbreak High.  He also models here and there and has been seen in campaigns for Coca Cola Light which is a drink in Europe and Pepsi Light in Australia and Head and Shoulders in Europe. 

What does the guy do for fun?  he is a big music man and loves traveling.  He has even enrolled in culinary school because he really loves to cook. 

Blair Underwood was the first TV Boyfriend I had as an adult.  When he was in LA Law I fell in love with his gentlemanly character.  You can obviously see I’m a sucker for a Gentleman.  Other than LA Law, you can Blair in “In Treatment” in 2008 which is a TV series in the filming process as well as “Weather Girl” in 2008 too.   And in the past, give him a look on “Dirty Sexy Money”, “The Wedding”, “Frasier”, “Law and Order:  Special Victims Unit”, “LAX”, “Sex and the City”, “Rules of Engagement”, “The Cosby Show” and “Knight Rider”. 

But, by far, his character, Jonathan Rollins was my favorite…and you?  I don’t watch One Life to Live but I assume he is as sexy there as he is every where else.    And, so, moving right along to the pictures of the hot one…

Where did he come from?  Out of the blue maybe?  Actually, he is not a young cat anymore, at 27, he is an American Actor who drew one of the most difficult roles ever.  He was hired to be Shawn-Douglas Brady on Days of Our Lives and replace Jason Cook who had played that role since 2006.  The reception was generally very positive. 

He has obviously worked prior to becoming the well-known Shawn Brady.  He was in a feature film Material Girls, has had a recurring role as Seth on General Hospital and even a guest spot on CSI.  He was on DOOL once before becoming Shawn Brady as a Assistant District Attorney.  So, you see, he HAS been around the block a time or two.  He also played the lead in a 2005 movie called “Suits on the Loose”.

This dude is no baby!  I’ve actually found a hunk from the soaps that is older than me.  . Of course he was a former fashion model.  Who is he?  He is Sam Bennett on Passions.  He seems like a regular ol’ guy to me, born and raised in Ohio…seems plain Jane but if you look at him….he is certainly not plain.

Speaking of just being a plain ol’ guy, he was in Hawaii when he was discovered.  He has been all ove the globe doing what he was first hired to do.  Places like Japan, Amsterdam and London.  He even met his wife through modeling.  He will also be seen on the big screen in “The Blackout” which hasn’t come out state-side yet and “Let’s Talk About Sex”. 

He has also been seen in Another World as Neil Johansson and then a short spell on As the World Turns as Liam in 1999.  He has definitely made his rounds in the soap world as well as the modeling world.

Do you know Zach?  He looks kind of young if you ask me.  And, upon further investigation, he is only 21 so I guess that means he IS young.  But he was succussful as Casey Hughes on As the World Turns and has also been seen on Law & Order.  And, before long, you will see him as “Joe” on a feature film called “Tie a Yellow Ribbon”.

He also played Hunter Atwood on One Life to Live.  He has continued to remain friends with his co-stars from As the World Turns’ Jesse Lee Soffer and Alexandra Chando.  I’d like to  be his friend.  You?
