TV Boyfriends

How in the world could I have missed such a pretty face.  I mean honestly, I thought I’d covered every man on this Earth by now but lo and behold, ask the readers and you will find more men than you ever had a clue existed.  Now, I had no clue who Erik Palladino was but once I saw his photo, nom nom nom, I was like, oh wow, how did I miss him. 

He is just one bit TV star and he looks good.  What else do you need to make a great TV Boyfriend than those 2 things?  He has had a pretty lengthy television career too.  It started back in 1996 with a show I’ve never heard of called Love and Marriage.  But if you fast forward from 1996 to 1999, he did a 2 year gig on ER and then Finders Fee in 2001. 

We all know that each and every Law & Order is special and Erik’s stint on Law & Order:  Special Victims Unit was made that much more special in 2003 when he joined in the fun.  Since that time, he has been spreading his love in Joan of Arcadia, Over There, CSI, Hotel California in 2009 and then he hit one of my all time favorite shows, Criminal Minds in 2008.

Too bad I don’t remember him in Criminal Minds but the fact is, I rarely see anyone on that show, what with Shemar Moore being there to look out.  Finally he was part of Reaper in 2009 and finished off just lately in Private Practice.

And, with that, I give you…Erik…

Ok, look, I’m struggling here.  Coherent sentences following a good dose of cold and or flu medication has proven to be somewhat difficult.  However, someone did suggest TV Boyfriend for the site and the funny thing, I was looking a photo of him in a magazine and thinking about his role. 

So, who is it?  It’s

..that’s who.  If you don’t want Criminal Minds you should.  It’s a  great show, it’s got the always hawt Shemar Moore and Dr. Reed or Grubler’s character has started to emerge as a ladies man ..not must …just a little…he is very smart and I can see how finding him a woman to flirt with  will be difficult. 

But, they may have….Either way, I wanted to share the hottie that was sent my way and I’m going to bed myself!  What do you think?  Is he hot?  or Not?

I know, I’ve been writing on this site for 2 years now and never once have I put a girl’s photos on here.  Right?  Well, this isn’t about a girl at all although it is a picture of a girl…the song….Imaginary Boyfriend is absolutely perfect for this site, don’t you think? 

I mean, what’s better than a boyfriend that we dream up in our head?  He’s perfect and Leah Renee is only 23 and she has already figured it out, Imaginary Boyfriends are way better than any version of the real thing.  I mean, really come on, check it out.

Here’s her picture and you can probably figure she doesn’t need an Imaginary Boyfriend because she can probably get a good looking one all on her own.  But, as we all know, looks aren’t everything.  So, that’s what our site is all about, taking our favorite TV men and making Imaginary Boyfriends out of them.  I think Leah may have been spying on us, you think?

Listen, I don’t know what those folks over there at People were thinking but it certainly wasn’t anywhere along the same lines as me.  I mean, Daniel Craig is a Bond man and he has those gorgeous blue eyes which are piercing in this photo but honestly, he is not sexy.  H

His girlfriend Satsuki Mitchell was in London for the premiere of the latest 007 film Quantum of Solace.  He is a British actor and his current onscreen girl is Olga Kurylenko and she says he suits the part of James Bond perfectly.  Ok, whatever they say.

In his early film roles, The Power of One, A Kid in King Arthur’s court and Sharpe’s EAgle as well as The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles:  Daredevils of the Desert were part of what made him what he is today.  And, honestly, he looks good but sexy?  I still just don’t see it at all.  He also starred in a breakthrough performance  in Layer Cake and Lara Croft:  Tomb Raider with Angelina Jolie. 

I bet Angelina doesn’t think he is the sexiest man alive.  I bet you anything she is more of a Brad Pitt kind of gal too.  According to Vogue magazine, Craig is the highest paid actor in Britain right now too.

His most recent roles, I, Lucifer, Defiance, Quantum of Solace, Casino royale, didn’t hurt his cause for becoming the Bond man now did it?  And, in case you don’t know, he started out in The Power of One, Sharpe’s Eagle, our Friends in the North, The Ice House, Love and Rage, The Trench and I Dreamed of Africa.

My second place guy would have definitely been Shemar Moore.

Erik was born in New York and is the youngest of three boys.  When he was 12 he decided he wanted to be an actor after watching Robert De Niro’s performance in Raging Bull.  He later joined a children’s repertory company a year later and he and his brother performed together in an alternative rock band called No More Happy Faces.  He had long hair then and was a fan Jon Bon Jovi.

He can be found on shows such as Criminal Minds, Hotel California, CSI, Joan of Arcadia, Law and Order:  SVU, ER and Can’t Hardly Wait.

Erik prides himself on playing in the World Poker Tour in the Hollywood Home games for the Boys and Girls Clubs charity.  He is now the lead singer for the rock band Hearing Red.

How in the world…..how could this guy have slipped through my little fingers all this time?  Dorian Gregory, that’s who.  I mean, if he lived near me and he were doing this…

I’m fairly certain he would never have been missed by me again.  Do folks do this where you live?  I mean, folks that look like him that is?

He is an American actor and played Darryl Morris on Charmed and was the fourth and final host of Soul Train…which was replacing Shemar Moore and I think you all know how I feel about him…wooot wooot

He replaced Jan Adams in the daytime talk show The Other Half way back in 2002.  He has hosted shows like BET Anniversary and Achievement Awards with the likes of Debbie Allen and Shirley Moore.  and, he played a bouncer in “Where’s the Party Yaar?”

Another man I barely even recognized…Jason O’Mara.  He is an Irish actor but he was recently a co-star in the ABC drama In Justice.  He has also performed with The Royal Shakespeare Company, The Jew of Malta and Popcorn.  He was nominated for Best Supporting Actor in 2002 at the Irish Theatre Awards for his portrayal of John in Neil Labute’s Bash.

He also appeared in Harold Pinter’s The Homecoming in London and Dublin as well as the Lincoln Center in New York.  He has been seen in series like The Agency, Band of Brothers, Monarch of the Glen, High Stakes, Playing the Field, The Bill, Berkeley Square and Reach for the Moon.  He will be playing Sam Tyler in the US remake of the hit British show, Life on Mars.

When I went in search of some shows I might have at least heard of before, Grey’s Anatomy, Criminal Minds, The Closer, CSI: Miami and Unfinished Business.  At least I do recognize this guy.  What do you think?

Again, this is someone that I wasn’t familiar with but after looking around a little, I saw there was a treat waiting in the wings.  He was first recognized in 1991 when he received Australia’s prestigious Logie Award for Most Popular New Talent.  And, apparently he is going to be one more new talent to watch. 

He is married to Rebecca Rigg and they have 3 children.  You might find them hanging out with Nicole Kidman as Rebecca and Kidman have known each other for many years. 

As a teenager, he was into surfing and water polo.  He was one of the singers/dancers in the band Euphoria’s film clip “Love you right”.  Russell Crow and Guy Pearce were raised in Australia along with Baker and all three of them appeared in LA Confidential in 1997.  However, Baker is the only one of the three that was born an Aussie.  He was voted People magazines “50 Most Beautiful People” in 2002 and Named among Fade in Magazine’s “100 People in Hollywood You Need to Know”  in 2005.

Baker appeared in The Guardian and now has his own CBS crime drama, The Mentalist.  He plays a recovering phony psychic who uses his powers of observation to solve police mysteries.  I don’t know, doesn’t sound like my type of show, but, I do love me some Criminal Minds so you can never tell.

So, obviously he has been around for a while and we’ve just managed to miss him.  He was paling around with Rufus Sewell in the TV Guide shoot for the Men of Fall 2008.  His personal quote goes like this, “If you can’t be proud of what you do, go and sell shoes.  Do something else.”

Yea, what he said.

I turn 40 today so I figured it was a good time for me to celebrate myself and show you all the guys I think are hot and would make great TV Boyfriends.  I mean, after all, you only turn 40 once, right?

Ok, as many of you know, we bought a daycare last year.  Well, we closed it last month.  I totally couldn’t keep up.  So, I am going to get back to writing about my favorite TV Boyfriends and obviously, this is a great time of the year to do that…Olympics, fall previews, football season…so much going on that I can share. 

I promise, there will be plenty of Wentworth, Shemar, Amaury, Dominic and coming up in the next few days I’m going to get started with Michael Phelps and some of his hot teammates.  So, keep up, it’s gonna be a ride….one worth taking…

Another one that I didn’t know about until I went digging.  Searching and surfing will find all kinds of gems, if you just look hard enough.  His career stared in commercials.  He had done some modeling.  He played numerous roles in film and television, including the lead in “Sweetwater” and has even been featured in “Criminal Minds” and you all know how I feel about that show…oooolala.  He had supporting roles in “Boxboarders” and “Passions”.

Now Duhon can be found on General Hospital playing Logan.  If you want to try to get a glimpse of him, you might check some flag football or football games, basketball games or riding motorcycles.

Since I’m recapping kind of…well the Survivor guys weren’t recaps but you know, recapping with Wentworth and Dominic, how could I leave out the lovable Shemar Moore. 

First of all, yes, Criminal Minds will be back for another season and I….I couldn’t be more excited.  I will be tuning in on Wednesday nights, you can bet your bottom dollar.  I can guarantee that his character Agent Derek Morgan is worthy of being a TV Boyfriend……

Here’s what his co-worker Kirsten has to say about him…I mean, c’mon on people, if a co-worker likes you this much…you gotta have something special going on…

“THREE REASONS I LOVE SHEMAR MOORE
1. He notices every time I paint my nails a different color, and if I’ve messed up, will help me re-paint them.
2. His forearms.
3. He goes to see every play I’ve been in since we’ve met, and always stays after to compliment the other actors and buy me a drink.
4. He’s one of my greatest friends. I adore him. That’s so not an act.”

He’s a model, what can I say, photos of him are easier to find….

Yes, Shemar was on a nude beach.  According to him he was with two “hot” chicks both of whom he referred to as “girlfriends” and they (the girls that is) wanted to go skinny dipping, so he obliged them.  And, just what does he have to say about it…well…

He seems to be “ok” with it.  That’s to put it lightly.  Basically he was more upset that the tabloids used the word “frolick” to describe what he was doing.  He says it sounds like he was skipping or something.  But, he went on to say that he isn’t gay and that he hates the media is making such a big deal of it.   He went on to say that he hasn’t nothing against gay’s, but he likes his wimmins’.  Ok, that was my word, not his.  If you didn’t see those nude photos…well you oughta…bahahaha

Well, if a naked Shemar wasn’t enough to make you wonder about all that’s well in the world, now Mandy Patinkin is gone.  Plain gone that is, gone from Criminal Minds, out of sight.  He didn’t show up for a table read and now he is plain gone. 

So, we salute a great TV Boyfriend Jason Gideon or in real life, Mandy Patinkin.

These guys may or may not be TV stars per se but they are hot, nonetheless.  For starters……

I almost didn’t include him because Geez, he just keeps showing up on my Eye Candy days but…he is everywhere and here should be no different.

Adrian Grenier from Shot in the Dark on HBO…again, he is a repeat offender for eye candy but…what can I do?

Apolo Ohno…ditto on the repeat status…but….well, he is hot you know…

I don’t think Blake Lewis has been in on my Eye Candy but he has been featured.  I am in limbo on whether he is hot or not…..he seems kind of….gay….not that gay is a problem, but you know, I”m looking for a man that would appeal to me and well, gay don’t fit…so, here he is, you decide.
