We all know Kobe but…he is hot

Friday, August 22nd, 2008

I may have written about Kobe before but since he is now an Olympian, I must give you the pleasure of checking him out again.  Most of you may remember that Kobe was one of very few athletes to go straight from high school into the NBA.  But, with that said, Kobe was educated outside the US and had a lot of maturity has he had traveled and gained a lot of his education by learning to respect the customs of other countries.  That alone lends itself to maturity, I don’t care what other people say.

And, yes once he was in the NBA for a short time, he learned to be immature and act like some of our other athletes off the court.  But on the court, he is undeniable.  He is 6′6″ and you surely know he plays for the Los Angeles Lakers.  To his credit, he has a 2008 NBA MVP, a 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008 NBA All-Star, 2002 NBA Champion, 2001 NBA Champion and a 2000 NBA Champion.

See he is a champion and worth repeating in the spotlight.

Carlos Boozer - what is it that he does?

Thursday, August 21st, 2008

Why, how could you ask such a question?   Carlos is part of our US basketball team that is under a very watchful eye after their disaster in the Olympics four years ago when the US took a Bronze Medal instead of Gold.  They are calling the Redeem Dream Team because they had to make good on a whole lot of trash talking.  Carlos can help make sure that happens.

He was born on November 20, 1981  and for some reason, his home town is being withheld from us.  However, he plays for the Utah Jazz so I would be a bit surprised to find out he live terribly far from there.  He is a 6′9″ power forward who can plan the role of a center.  His accolades include 2004 Bronze at the Athens Games, and NBA all-star in 2007 and 2008 and a member of the all rookie team in the NBA in 2003.

He is also a two time member of the PARADE All-American High School Basketball Team, he lead The Crimson Bears to back to back state titles in high school and he played for Duke where he was part of the 2001 NCAA Championship Team.

Need I say more.. nah, let’s look at some photos.

Let’s continue to check out the Olympics

Wednesday, August 20th, 2008

There are tons of athletes in this year’s Olympics that I could just sit and listen to them tell me tales about the Olympics as they hand their medal around my neck while I pretend it is me on that medal stand.

Today I’m going to give you….Taylor Teagarden from Dallas Texas.  Taylor is 24 and plays baseball for the US.  He is a catcher and rounds out a 6′1″ and 200 pounds.  He bats right handed and throws right handed.  Right now he a member of the minor league where he plays for the parent club in Texas.  He plays for the Oklahoma Redhawks which is a triple A Pacific Coast League.

As is par for most of our Olympic athletes that aren’t named Michael Phelps, photos of Taylor aren’t easy to come by.  But, I love athletes.  I’ve never made a baseball player I didn’t instinctively like.  And, Taylor is no different.

Andy Roddick? Do you know him?

Thursday, July 10th, 2008

He plays Tennis.  He was on Sabrina, the Teenage Witch as himself in an episode where Sabrina demanded him to give her tennis lessons.  He has hosted Saturday Night Live…way back in 2003.  He does an ad for This is Sports Center with Stuart Scott where he confronts an anchor about him not calling him A-Rod and asks him "Did Alex Rodriquez put you up to this?"  And he was in the June/July issue of Men’s Fitness magazine.  And, there is even more.  He appeared on Friday Night with Jonathan Ross.

So, yea, he plays Tennis.  And, boy does he ever play Tennis.  And, he looks good…really good….

Juan Martin Hernandez

I rarely ever start my posts off with photos, but this guy, he demands that photos come first, so check him out….we’ll talk later….but you know I love my athletes

juanmartinhernandez juanmartin

Ok, so now that I have your attention, didn’t take long did it?  Juan was born in 1982 and currently is a Argentine Rugby Union player.   His family is full of athletes as his uncle was part of the Argentina squad in 1982 FIFA World Cup and his Sister won a silver medal with the Argentina hockey team at the 2000 Summer Olympics and a bronze medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics.  So, I mean, hey, there’s no lack of genes running that family, that’s for sure.

Before I leave you, I figure you need at least one more, ok, maybe two more good pictures to look at.

juanmartn3 The rugged man look, I like it!

I have big thanks to give to reader Maggie for the suggestion of Juan, I don’t know if I would have found him otherwise.  Thanks girl, keep the suggestions coming.

James Blake - how the heck did this Tennis star slip by me

Thursday, June 26th, 2008

Ok, look, some guys make good TV Boyfriends because of their very own character.  Some make good TV Boyfriends because of their character on a show that I’ve seen lately.  Some make good TV Boyfriends because….their athletes and THEY ARE FREAKIN HOT HOT HOT.  James Taylor would be exactly one of those that fall into the just freakin hot category.

He says he tailors his hairdo according to the kind of women he wants to attract.  I’m looking at this photo with a bald head and I’m getting terribly excited right now.  He said though in college he had braids and dreadlocks and even some cornrows.  But then he says it seemed that the girls he knew were after a bad boy kind of.  Now that’s he has grown up though, he tends to date girls who have figured out what they life in a guy and hopefully the hair isn’t the only thing they are looking for….He says for now, he likes being a clean cut guy.  I say…….absolutely hot hot hot.

Ray Allen - The Celtics could do it….

Monday, June 16th, 2008

Ok, this guy is 6′5′ tall, weights about 205 and yes, he too has a bald head.  I don’t know what’s up with me and these bald headed men, but take a gander at these biceps:

I mean, c’mon ladies, look at those arms.  It really makes you wonder what his abs look like, doesn’t it?

rayallen

I mean, c’mon ladies, this guy is hawt, hawt, hawt!

I couldn’t find a photo of his abs, but if I could have, you can bet I would have given it to you.  So, instead, I’ll give you these…

Kobe Bryant - Kobe really is that good.

Sunday, June 15th, 2008

You all know I am an avid athlete.  I’ve been a Kobe fan even through his hard times.  The kid came out of high school (albeit, not the kind we have around here) and went straight to the NBA.  Anyone who expected him not to find trouble along the way, no matter how well schooled he was or well-mannered he was, anyone, I tell you, anyone, was quite the fool.  I would have given you every penny I had, which probably wasn’t much, the day he came out on a bet that he would find trouble with at least about five years.  And, that he did.

But, anyway, let’s quit talking about that.  He really is a good looking guy, right?  I mean, what 6′6", 205 pound man with the coordination and the perfectly shaped head looks better?  Ok, I know, Michael Jordan, but anyway, Kobe is ‘da MAN.

As you probably know, he is playing for an NBA championship and this time, there’s no Shaq around to play the other man on the court.  Who cares, right?  Anyway, he’s been available to the common eye for several weeks now, go see for yourself if you don’t believe me.  Here’s a few photos I was able to drag up.

Barack Obama just called him the best player in the world.  I mean, come on, right?

Graham

Monday, June 9th, 2008

Ok, I’m watching The Bachelorette and DeAnna on my DVR and the one guy I so wanted out of the picture in the beginning, Graham.  Since we all know how I fell about super tall athletes, it is kind of odd that he wasn’t one I picked right form the get-go.  But, there was something about him in the beginning that turned me away.  Now, DeAnna has the hots for him bad.  She is so not hiding that.  Anyway, what do you think about him?

graham

His name, Graham Bunn, so tell me, what do you think?

graham 1 graham 2

Let’s start with those TV Boyfriends that DeAnna didn’t want…

Thursday, June 5th, 2008

First and foremost, I’m not starting with the ones she let go first, I’m starting with the one she let go that broke my heart.  That would be, Ryan Hoag, a professional football player.  You know how I love my athletes..  One of the many things that set him apart was his virginity.  He is/was 26 and was open about it.  He said that the other guys were cool about it and some even expressed interest.  He basically talked alot about his religious convictions and this was one of those convictions.  DeAnna never said much about him at all, she just seemed put off when he told her that part about himself and I have to say, that makes me wonder…hummm.  He did say that he bonded with Brian, Fred, Jason and Graham, all of whom you will see more of later. …as I catch up.  And, well…he is still single ladies….

I’m having a difficult finding photos of him just yet, but don’t fret, I will dig up some more sooner or later, it’s just a matter of time til the ladies find him….SEXY!

What’s not to love? C’mon John Calipari

Thursday, April 10th, 2008

Ok, so I know, I’m a little late here but John Calipari is the coach of the Memphis Tigers and as well know by now, they are not the NCAA Champions.  But, what he is is one classy man.  He has enough wins under his belt that winning is second nature.  Then, you give a man the manners of this man and what you get is someone who is a joy to watch win.  I cheered for Memphis for several reasons and he was one of them.

He made his name at UMass back from 1988 to 1996 when he led Minutemen program to conference title after conference title.  He finished with a 193-71 record overall with a 91-41 record in Atlantic Conference games.  He was named Atlantic 10 Coach of the Year in 1992, 93 and again in 1996. He led UMass to its first ever appearance in the Final Four with the play of the John R. Wooden Award Winner Marcus Camby.

He moved to the New Jersey Nets for the 96-97 season.  In his first 8 years as head coach at Memphis he won 218 games.  That’s not anything to be blowing smoke at ya’ll.  So, I give you…John Calipari

Joey Dorsey

Wednesday, April 9th, 2008

Do you know who he is? He is the center for Memphis.  And, as you know, they lost last night in the NCAA championship to Kansas.  I know I know, why am I featuring a losing member?  Well, because he seems to be the talk of the town. It seems when he is on the court, he is not much to get all in a wad about, but off the court, the media is hounded the heck out of the kid.

He talks about how he had a brutal background growing up in Baltimore.  He said closing out his season as a NCAA Champion would be icing on the cake.  According to Dorsey he had 38 text messages the night before the game and 25 missed phone calls.  His high school coach even called him to tell him how proud of him he was.

He was put down by his homies in the hood and they tried to tell him he wouldn’t make it.  He has most definitely proved them wrong.  So, what makes him a good TV Boyfriend?  Well, for one, he is 6′9″ tall and I love me a big tall man.  And, at 265 pounds, he is no skinny man.  And, who doesn’t like an athlete?  I love ‘em.

That guy on Oprah’s The Big Give

Monday, April 7th, 2008

I didn’t watch this show in the beginning and to be honest, when I started watching it, I was more excited to see Tony Gonzalez.  Tony is a NFL star and nine-time Pro Bowler as well as a Boys and Girls Club Hall of Famer.   He played tight end and I sure wish I could see him in his 3 point stance.

I mean, 6′5″ and 251 pounds…whoo lalala is all I know to say.

If you haven’t seen Jason Taylor…

Tuesday, March 25th, 2008

If you haven’t seen Jason Taylor, you’ve missed it all.  He is busy doing the mamba and girlfriend, he is hot.  He is also funny and muscular and did I mention just plain hot!!!!!!!!!!

You must go see, find it on youtube, DVR, do what you gotta do but find him and watch him dance!  From the top of this man’s slick head to the tip of his toes, this man is awesome.  Is he married?  Maybe not?  He looks good.  I can’t say it enough and the judges liked him too.  Well, who wouldn’t?

Just for reference here, he is 6′6″, 225 pounds full of absolute hotness.  Now, you guys know I don’t salivate over many men other than Wentworth and Shemar, but I love me some tall men, and a tall man that can move like that, who can be so sexy while dancing…..hold me!

He is a whopping 33 years old and is in his 12th season of the NFL where he is a defensive end wearing #99.  My new favorite number….honest.  He plays for the Miami Dolphis and geez, he is hot.  You know that already?  You should.

After a bit of a research, he is married.  His wife is Katina and he has 2 children, Isaiah and Mason.  Oh well, it is free to look.

Rudy Gay - who?

Friday, February 15th, 2008

I know, I know, I’m on an athlete kick right now.  But, it is the season for slam dunk fests and all star games in the NBA.  I couldn’t be happier.  I love seeing all those muscles in one place.  So, I give you Rudy Gay.

Apparently this 6 foot 9 inch shooting guard weighs about 220 pounds and has been shooting off his mouth at Gerald Green about the slam dunk contest coming up.  And, apparently, Gerald Green felt the need to teach him a lesson or two.  You can see the video yourself on yahoo and I’d happily link you to it but it keeps disappearing on me.  You can find it easy enough though, I’m sure.

Back to Rudy.  For some reason, when I type that, I have this incredible urge to type Ruday, you know, say it with some hip vibes, Ruday Ruday Ruday.

Ok, I’ll give that up.  He played his high school ball at Baltimore County’s Eastern Technical High School, which is a magnet school in Essex.  His family wanted him to advance his basketball skills though and he transferred to Archbishop Spalding High School was he was named Baltimore Sun’s co-player of the year.  He was a McDonald’s All American and a Parade first team All-American.  He was regarded as one of the most talented players in college basketball, being named 2005 Big East Conference Freshman of the year ad also named National Freshman of the Year by The Sporting News.  In 2005 he was invited to play for the USA’s Men’s under 21 World Championship Team.  And, he did, and he excelled.

In April he announced he would enter the 2006 NBA draft and was selected the 8th overall pick by the Houston Rockets.  He was disappointed though.

So, what do you think?
