TV Boyfriends

Really, Jillian is Canadian and Juan is from Argentina although he lives in Santa Monica and the show…right there in LA.  Boy, all this geography is confusing.  He is 35 which is older than many of the guys on the show and should be a big appeal factor for Jillian if she uses her head.  He is a general contractor which basically means that he can take his work where ever he so desires….you know…like Canada.

I haven’t had a lot of time to focus on Juan on the show but the photos I found were quite pleasing to the eye and sometimes, that glee in someone’s eyes is enough to tell you alot about their heart, what’s going on in their brain and in this case, he looks like a really soft, kind and caring man.  And, again, I hate to keep bringing this up but at age 35, he has had time to check out the women, check out the lifestyles and he should be a little more settled and comfortable in his own skin. 

I’ve made it clear that I really like Kiptyn but this guy is looking more and more like an nice choice if you ask me.  I hope he wasn’t one of the ones kicked off last week when I missed the show because I really need to know more about him before I make up my mind completely.

See those eyes, that twinkle in his eye and that side smile, that tells me, it might not tell you, but it rings of honesty to me, it rings of kindness and caring and heck if you don’t have a man with those qualities, you might as well dump all these guys and start over….have they ever let someone be the Bachelor or Bachelorette twice.  If Jillian just pays attention, she won’t need a third go at the show……

Yes, I know it’s too late to think Jillian is reading my advice and getting any good out of it…but she better stick with Juan for a little while and get to know him better.

Notice there are rarely any southern and by southern I mean deep southern gentleman on these shows.  I do believe that one of our good southern gentleman (not our one tooth wonder rednecks) could and would make a great guy on this show.  At least folks could see that just because you don’t live in a huge metro area like Dallas Texas or Denver Colorado or even Orlando Florida doesn’t mean you aren’t a good catch.  Heck, Tanner P would be a good catch regardless of his place of residence.  Or at least I think so anyway.

He lives in Dallas and hey, I have a friend in Dallas, I keep trying to tell her to at least find a way for me to meet these guys.  It would make writing about them alot easier, lol.

Tanner is a financial analyst and I suppose there are not a lot of those hanging out in the backwoods of Alabama but hey, we do have Birmingham, Montgomery, Mobile….geez, come on now. 

Anyway, Tanner is 30 and as far as I am concerned, he has shown himself to be an energetic gentleman and hey what else could a girl want in a man?  Except Kiptyn…sorry.

But back to Tanner - I’ve been sneaking around and reading the boards which I don’t normally do and I don’t like what I am reading about Tanner.  Which is usually not even true in the first place so I beg you Tanner, prove these fools wrong…show me that you are as sweet and adorable as you seem to be right now, mid season….I wanna see you show off.

I’m starting with Tanner F who is from Derby Kansas and now resides in Denver, Colorado.  He has been sent home but that’s ok, he is going to find a girl, somewhere to fit his lifestyle, his personality and his kind and sweet nature.

As I mentioned, I missed last weeks show and I didn’t look to see who went home before I went back to reviewing the guys I liked.  I do have to say that he wasn’t one of my big time favorites but by far and away, he made a great impression.  So, do what you must do Tanner as you hang out in your new found shoes and check out those women around you and their motives. 

It won’t be long, the time is right when the time is right.  At 28, he has plenty of time to be checking out all the women and making sure he finds the one woman that lights up his life.

Imagine my surprise when I went to the site this morning (Sunday) to write this and I saw that he had been sent home.  Yea, just as I had him picked to be right up there as a front runner.  I really don’t think he was THE one but I wonder if something happened behind the scenes that I don’t (or we) don’t know about that turned Jillian off to this guy.

So, check out his photos and if you know where to find him, go let him know what a good catch he really is and see if it’s you that makes a match for him.

We didn’t have television service last week and I missed the hunks that Julian had to pick from but…I’ve already picked mine and I am sticking with him.  Kiptyn is definitely the man for her.  And, with that, if the show holds true to form, she will turn him down in the final two but holy cow I cannot imagine for who.  None of the other men even remotely get my attention like Kiptyn does.  I’ve already told you, he is from Encinitas, California and still lives there and works as a business developer. 

Unless you are blind, stupid or have 15 other guys to at least check out, I can’t imagine how anyone could even let the show go on.  I am totally smitten with Kiptyn and I  just can’t imagine letting this go any longer.

Come on Jillian, pull a big one on the ol’ Bachelorette folks who are accustom to pulling the punches.  Put a stop to this now and give ol’ Kiptyn the green light to steal your heart.

Take Kiptyn, send the rest on the road and the two of you can just sit around and enjoy the rest of the show’s hot dates and fun times (in the hot tub, without the cameras) and then just get right on into the end of the thing. 

Honestly, I’ve never picked one this soon, well unless you count the fact that I knew Shayne Lamas was going to be chosen in that season and look where that got them.  I knew she was going to be chosen and I knew it was going to be a mistake - but you can make these folks in these pre-recorded shows listen to you, lol.

First of all, I have to tell you about a nice young bachelor from last October, Brett Zak contacted me through email.  He really seems like a great guy as he contacted me to say thanks for the nice things I had said about him.  What nice things did I need to say?  His Bio as one Cosmos Men of 2008 was all there was needed   He also asked where I had found the photos of him and naturally the Cosmo ad was the place where I found all the goodies.

As I said, the guy was so adorable in his emails and I did find some other photos but I am not going to use them until he gives me permission.  Surely a guy that looks like this and has the morals to turn down shows like The Bachelor and The Bachelorette most definitely should be considered a winner in almost everyone’s book. No?

I do have to tell you though, the photos I found of him online were with some really beautiful girls so you have your work cut out for you….if you are interested, you better speak up lest you miss out on the hottness of Dr. Zak.

After she got over her dream of being a Solid Gold Dancer, Fournier promptly headed into the local funeral home and asked for a job, any job. Yea, this should make reading her book that much more interesting.  I am currently getting ready to read her book so I can do a review of it.  But, as with a couple of other books, I had to go chase down at my mom’s house because she got to it before I did.

I was surfing Facebook the other night and came across the name Jimmy McNicol. I immediately looked to see if it was HIM. I knew it most likely wasn’t, because if my Jimmy could sing and dance, he could mostly likely spell his name. I had to peak. Not him.

Ah, Jimmy McNichol. An unsung, under noticed teen heartthrob and TV boyfriend of my generation. I’m talking about the boys who graced the covers of Teen Beat during the Carter Administration. My first glance of Jimmy was him sitting quite poised in an overstuffed chair on The Mike Douglas Show. He was darling. And he preferred to be called “James”
What did me in was his flowy, brown hair. I liked the movement it made when he was discussing important issues with Mr. Douglas, such as his most prized possession, his ‘71 customized Chevy van. And the full disclosure that (gasp!) he wears Musk.

Back to his shaggy boy ‘do, I was a fan of medium-length tresses on men. I was forever Peter Criss when we played KISS, and on the playground when playing Charlie’s Angels, I unquestionably was Farrah. And yes, back to Jimmy’

It is often forgotten he had an actual speaking part for a full year on General Hospital, the same show which staffed resident hotties Rick Springfield and John Stamos. He had also spent time learning his technique on Little House on the Prairie, The Love Boat, and even sang the title theme for California Fever. As Jimmy, uh, James grew older, his story lines became more dramatic. And so did his personal choices.
As a kid he cited McDonald’s hamburgers as his food favorite, but would move on to crepes. He was so damn innocent in those early years, listing the primary colors of red, blue and yellow as his favorite, and his preferred drink was milk.

He seemed the most likely candidate for real love, mostly because he struck me as a nice guy who would probably be my friend. And he had that cool little sister, Kristy, who I had a secret crush on, too.

Like many young television stars, Kristy and Jimmy McNichol took a shot at pop music stardom. Unlike many of their fellow stars, they achieved it. Their self-titled debut album became a chart hit and a cult classic among fans of teen-idol records.

CBS let him have the The Jimmy McNichol Special, co-starring Magic Johnson, and Conrad Bain, the daddy from Different Strokes, plus that other young cutie patootie, Rick Schroeder.

Time moved on for James, and in 1999, he was focusing on ecological education with a website called ECOTV, was still performing with his band "Wizard King" and released a new CD, called Echo Warrior.
Not bad for my 1970’s crush who’s childhood nickname was “Pickle McNichol.”
