TV Boyfriends

Jason Thompson is a Canadian actor who joined the cast of the American daytime drama General Hospital in December of 2005 as an arrogant yet brilliant neurosurgeon Dr. Patrick Drake.  He then became an original cast member of the General Hospital prime-time spin-off General Hospital:  Night Shift while also maintaining his job on GH.

He started with commercials for Gap under the directions of Pedro Romhanyi in 2002, “Everybody in Cords”, “Everybody in Leather” and “Everybody in Vests”.  He says that modeling paid the bills and allowed him the opportunity to travel extensively, but that becoming an actor was never far from his thoughts.

His most popular role as Dr. Patrick Drake on the ABC soap is definitely his claim to fame.  He was considered a playboy on the show and flirted with various women in the hospital and that’s where he began his career as Dr. Hottie.  Dr. Hottie as in a reference to Dr. McDreamy and our newly deamed McHunky.

So, what do you think?

I’m not so sure of this guy.  I think it is mainly because I am not a fond of blondes, and he even has a little Richie Cunningham look to him, but apparently he has been deemed McHunky  and probably for a reason.  I first spotted him in the TV Guide (yes weeks ago, I’m about 3 behind, sorry).  I found Kevin, a Scottish actor in the TV Guide as the folks over there talk about him in terms of McHunky. 

So, we do know that his best known roles have been as a soldier/politician Lucius Vorenus on the HBO/BBC series Rome and as Pvt. Cooper in Dog Soldiers.  He is also been a major part in NBC’s Journeyman as a time traveler, Dan Vasser.

As for his television work, we are thinking back to Father Ted in 1996, The Magical Legend of the Leprechauns in 1999, North Square in 2000 and now, now he joins Grey’s Anatomy as Owen Hunt.  And, there you have….the path to McHunky!

Is he your type?

After all, watching Prison Break now gets by blood a flowin’, if it doesn’t get you, then you are simply not right!

Warren Sapp will definitely be the first guy to show up on Dancing With the Stars but he is a really big guy and we shall if he dances or slumbers.  He is known for his football prowess and playing in seven consecutive Pro Bowls and was part of the Tampa Bay Bucs Super Bowl Winning Team in 2003.  Although he is retired, he is still a force to be reckoned with, watch him closely.

He will be dancing with Kim Johnson and she may not have partnered with anyone before that has the kind of self-esteem that Warren has making quotes like “I’ve had good feet all my life.  Emmitt Smith has sweet feet, but I’ve got good feet.”  We’ll see how good is feet are when it is lumbering that big ol’ body around in a “light and fancy” manner.

Warren even admits, there is a lot to move (well, duh, this is dancing).  He says, “Have you ever been around a 300 pound man?  When people talk about losing weight, we laugh.”  But, take this warning, he is ready to rock and roll on the dance floor even though he does have some old injuries that could flair up such as shoulder surgeries and rotator cuff shoulders.  Yea, those two together could make it difficult for that 300 pound man to lift that 99 pound woman?  Whatever!

He did get a good laugh out of the 2.5 inch Cuban heels.  He said that was when he thought, “ut oh, I’m in trouble!”

I know I missed some of the real cuties from Dancing With the Stars, Survivor, and now the Amazing Race (didn’t actually see but one, but anyway), but I’m going to move forward and just check back and I’ll get these missed men in when I post twice a day some, mmmkay?

Don’t let the name fool you, this is one hot man.  I’m not usually drawn to men when I can’t pronounce their name, but this guy, this guy is hot!  He has starred in two series, The Nine and Kitchen Confidential.  He also played Lysander in Troy.  He had some other small roles along the way in Broken Lizard’s, Beerfest and even made a guest appearance on Midsomer Murders. 

And, you know there’s more, right, he played one of the major villains in Terminator.  He was a T-888 model Terminator.  He was in the pilot episode of The Sara Connor Chronicles and even studied theatre at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. 

This man even holds a degree from Brasenose College, Oxford University.  So, don’t go making any snap judgements til you see him in The Mentalist, ok?

Rob Estes is older than me, ha!  See, I’m not all about the young cats out there.  He is actually about five years older than me, ha.  So, there!

Now, what’s he up to these days?  That would be, the subject of the week, 90210.  He started out as a stunt double and apparently he liked the whole acting gig.  He ended up playing Glen Gallagher on Days of Our Lives and then gained fans as Sergeant Chris Lorenzo in Silk Stalkings along side Mitzi Kapture.

He has been seen on Melrose Place as well as Providence, Suddenly Susan and Law and Order:  SVU.  He even has a few stage credits to his name, Same Time, Next Year and The Lake.  He starred in a comedy movie for television called, I Do They Don’t with Josie Bissett.  He had a recurring role on CSI:  Miami as Nick Townsend. 

He was also part of the WB’s Gilmore Girls as the bad boy Jess’s father.  But, now, now it is time for him to join the CW as Harry Wilson on

90210.

I’m trying to drum up enough people to live blog the show tomorrow night!  It is a 2 hour season premier for the first time ever.

How Well Do You Know Your Survivor Seasons and Players?

The first place you probably saw this cutie, Justin Bruening, was as a fashion model.  He was cited as one of televisions most beautiful people and then…then the acting.  He was Jamie Martin on the soap opera All My Children earning him a Soap Opera Digest Award in 2005 for that gig.  Then, he was cast as Mike Tracuer, the son of the character Michael Knight in the original series of Knight Rider.

Ok, let’s just get this straight.  I didn’t watch that show way baack then and I have no clue how they tie this together, but my husband does I bet you because he has been DVR’ing these shows.  I’m almost out of my mind with DVR-dom around here.

The sweet face was born in 1979 when I was in the sixth grade.  I don’t know why I keep telling you guys how old I am.  anyway, he moved to Sand Diego and was discovered by Sue Nessel, a talent scout for Scott Copeland International.  In a McDonald’s of all places.  And there was born a mode for Abercrombie & Fitch.

The next thing you know, he is in a commercial and then casting for All My Children started.  He auditioned for the role of J.R. Chandler but was cast as James “Jamie” Martin in 2003.  And, then for a brief time, he played Jamie Martin on One Life to Live in 2004 and 2005 in a crossover storyline. 

He has featured as Daytime’s Hottest Star in Teen People, Us Weekly, Star and J-14 magazines.  He tried out for the part of Superman in Superman Returns and has appeared in a music video by Britney Spears, “Boys”.
