TV Boyfriends

Let’s start with one that Bruno called “great” tonight.  And, this guy didn’t grow up with some lazy upbringing.  He grew up in a military family which means several things.  One it means that he has friends all over the world from all that traveling.  Both of his parents were in the Air Force so that alone tells you that he has lived in many places and made many friends.  Then, his mother was a b-girl street dancer when she was young and she has been his primary influence to dance.  They divorced when he was young but he was able to stay close to both of them.  He has lived in England, Texas, Hawaii, North Carolina, Florida, Washing D.C. and now Los Angeles, California.  See, I told you the boy had friends in many places. 

Then, talk about the discipline from dancing and the discipline growing up in a house with military parents, this guy should be really good for this show.  He joined a group called “Culture Shock” when he lived in D.C.  He saw them perform and was hooked.  He was 16 when he joined this group and then he toured with Ginuwine as a backup dancer. 

Growing up he enjoyed singing and by 16 he had a song on a local radio sation in North Carolina.  He was the choir in Hawaii that sang backup for Yolanda Adams (gospel) and P. Diddy.  As for his personality, he is outgoing and has a fun personality.  He is every girls dream, strong willed, well rounded and he adapts well to new situations.  Well, I mean if living in all those states wouldn’t make you learn to adapt, what would?  He says his mothers dream is for him to dance and that’s what he wants to do.  So, I ask you, did you see him tonight?  He looks good ladies.  I don’t know how many great photos I can find of him, but I’m certainly going to try.

In the meantime, dream about a disciplined, strong willed, singing dancing gorgeous man.  That should help.

Ben Roethlisberger is in hot water.  He made Hines Ward really mad when he asked for some tall receivers.  Anyway, have you looked at Roethlisberger?  Have you watched him play?  Well, I don’t care too much about watching him play when he is all covered up.  But, as you know, as a TV Boyfriend, he makes a darn good one.  I mean, we could obviously find ourselves in a stadium booth watching him play football and knowing he was going home with us that night?  Right?  What do you think?  Just look at this man?

I’m writing this as I watch Shark on Sunday night.  Obviously you are not reading this at the same time.  The thing with Henry’s character is, he is so damn sexy.  His previous fiance’ was killed prior to the show’s existence and he was a good undercover cop.  He ended up on the outs because his partner was murdered and he set the killer up for conviction.  He lost his job obviously.

He then got the job working with Shark and little did he know, he was going to find a new love connection there.  And, now his character, Isaac Wright, is just as sexy as Henry is. 

He has been seen in NYPD Blue, Spartacus, Lackawanna Blues, Undercover, Swift Justice, The Cosby Mysteries, Madea’s Family Reunion, Something New, Taxi, Are We There Yet, The Insurgents, South of Pico, Above the Rim, Boys in the Basement, Geranos, Sure…so yea, he’s been around.

He earned a basketball scholarship and a degree in business scholarship and a degree in business from Franklin Pierce College where he only experimented in theater.  He received positive feedback and I sure am glad he did, lol.  He is awesome.  Not to mention gorgeous!

And, like most actors, he lives in Los Angeles now!

Do you watch Gossip Girl?  I haven’t tuned in just yet but I actually had an opportunity to see some of the characters in a pre-season video and just from that, I picked me a man.  His character Dan Humphrey is a boy from the wrong side of the tracks and he has fell in love with someone that he should have known he was suppose to avoid.  He is an outsider in her little circle of friends.  He is the son of a has-been rockstar and doesn’t quite fit in with his new love’s crowd.  He is still reaching for her though.  So, I’m telling you, you need to check him out, in either Gossip Girl or one of his other shows.

He has been seen in The OC as well as Forever Strong and John Tucker Must Die.  His favorite band, Incubus.  He lives in LA and drives an Audi.  I mean, could he sound more perfect to you?  He is a surf boy, as it eems all celebrities are and he likes snowboarding and skiing as well.  He also sings, writes and plays the guitar.  Can you imagine being serenaded by him?

Blair Underwood was the first TV Boyfriend I had as an adult.  When he was in LA Law I fell in love with his gentlemanly character.  You can obviously see I’m a sucker for a Gentleman.  Other than LA Law, you can Blair in “In Treatment” in 2008 which is a TV series in the filming process as well as “Weather Girl” in 2008 too.   And in the past, give him a look on “Dirty Sexy Money”, “The Wedding”, “Frasier”, “Law and Order:  Special Victims Unit”, “LAX”, “Sex and the City”, “Rules of Engagement”, “The Cosby Show” and “Knight Rider”. 

But, by far, his character, Jonathan Rollins was my favorite…and you?  I don’t watch One Life to Live but I assume he is as sexy there as he is every where else.    And, so, moving right along to the pictures of the hot one…

What about our Mascot?  Ahhh…Went, you sexy thing…

I’ve told you before I’m a big sports junkie.  And, Brett Favre is a 38 year old athlete that can still get the attention of folks everywhere.  He is 6′2″ and weighs in the neighborhood of 222.  He is from Gulfport, Mississippi and played his college football at Southern Mississippi.  He was drafted in 1991 in the 2nd round as the sixth pick by the Atlanta Falcons.  Presently he is wears the number 4 as the quarterback for the Green Bay Packers. 

Lots of folks say his career is winding down but the fact of the matter is, he is still a fairly successful quarterback, just not quite as flamboyant as he once was.  For now, he has ranks 95.7 in the quarterback rankings and I don’t know about you, but that’s not a bad score.  In the last four games, he has complete 60 of 96 attempts for 743 yards.  So, there you go.  The question is, will his team make it to the Super Bowl?  And, if they do, will this be his last year?

This is his 17th season (16th as a Packer) in the NFL.   He has passed Dan Marino (and oh how I loved Dan Marino) for the most career passing yards to set a new NFL record.  You gotta figure if the man can play 16 years in the snow of Green Bay, he deserves all the wonderment that he gets.

Who can resist the scruffy look of a family man when he is surrounded by those beautiful little girls.  He really is awesome eh?

So, I was telling you about Eli Manning and how he went to Ole Miss and I didn’t remember much about him …but Peyton, oh yes, my high school sweetheart and adulthood friend named his son Peyton after this particular Manning.  Here’s the stuff I remember fairly well about Mr. Peyton Manning….

1.  He was one of the highest recruited athletes in the nation.

2.  He chose Tennessee. 

3.  His father is Archie Manning who is considered the greatest quarterback in SEC history.

4.  He didn’t go to the NFL early like most thought he would.

5.  The Indianapolis Colts took him as their first pick in 1998l.

There’s a ton more of things to know about Peyton but the best thing is this, Peyton Manning is a good guy.  He plays good clean football and he minds his manners on and off the field.  He is well liked by his coaches and teammates and even his opponents.  That’s enough right there.  And, so with that, I give you the hot one….much hotter than Eli in my opinion.

I’ve always been a big sports fan with football being last on my list.  No, really, my first love was baseball, then basketball and then, like I said, football came in last.  But, then soccer started being popular and honestly, I hate soccer.  The more I got a look at players like Peyton and Eli Manning, the more I liked football. 

And, for now, Eli Manning has been getting a lot of press.  Yes, in my mind, the only Manning that is popular is Peyton.  I remember Peyton’s days at Tennessee and apparently I lost track of even college football because I have no clue where Eli Manning played his collegiate years.  And …then, I Googled him and realized that oh, yea, I do know where he played, Ole Miss….yea I remember that.   He started his NFL career in 2004 and currently is leading the New York Giants in the post-season. 

Apparently Eli is a practical joker and gets away with a lot.  His favorite thing to do is change his teammates cell phone or iPod’s to the Spanish mode and then of course, they have a hard time returning it to English because the directions to do that are in Spanish.  Go Eli!
